Item Small 44 pin to large 50 pin IDE Adapter, ADA-HD-108 Unit Layman's terms: Plug your new 2.5" laptop hard drive in to the green plastic looking thing, plug your gray IDE cable (hard drive cable found inside your desktop computer) in to the opposite end of the green plastic looking thing. Then turn your desktop computer on and "Format" the drive. Street talk: Dud, just plug things in where they fit. Idea: One end fits in to your new laptop hard drive, the other fits into your hard drive cable in your PC so you either Format or copy your files over.
